Visit to the Belem`s Pastries Factory, including a tasting of the traditional sweet pastries (Pastel de Belém) with Port wine. Next visit the Jeronimos Monastery Belém Tower. Discover significant events in the history of Lisbon from the perspective of Jewish communities; the neighborhoods of the city, its importance in maritime trade, forced conversion, the inquisition, black lists, the secret treaty to rehabilitate the New Christians, and the Lisbon daily life of refugees from World War II.
Overnight: Lisbon
Pick-up at the hotel. Cross the Bridge 25 of April (Ponte 25 de Abril) and visit to the Monument of Christ-King (Cristo-Rei). Nest stop is Azeitão: a visit to a centenary cellar with wine tasting. Drive around the beautiful Arrábida Natural Park along the Atlantic Coast with wonderful viewpoints. Lunch on your own in Setubal, near the Sado River and the ocean. Afternoon visit to a ceramic’s factory at Palmela where you can paint you own tile. Return to Lisbon over the Vasco da Gama bridge, the longest bridge in Europe which is 17.2 Kilometers long. Drop-off at the hotel 6pm.
Overnight: Lisbon
Pick-up at the hotel at Lisbon. Visit Fátima, city of the apparitions of Our Lady in 1917 to the three little shepherds. Next visit the Monastery of Batalha, an impressive Gothic work of art of the 14th century. Visit the beautiful Nazaré, a traditional fishermen village on the Atlantic Coast. Lunch on your own followed by an afternoon visit to the Monastery of Alcobaça, where the love of Inês de Castro and King Peter is remembered trough their tombs. Visit Óbidos, a medieval village with tasting of “Ginginha,” a liquor common in this region. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight: Lisbon
Visit the Queluz National Palace, very representative of court life in the 18th century. Drive towards Sintra, a romantic town, and World Heritage, with free time at the Historical Centre including an opportunity to try the traditional “queijadas” pastries. Visit the Palace of Sintra. Enjoy lunch on your own followed by an afternoon visit to the Pena Palace, considered as one of the “Seven Wonders of Portugal” the most romantic of Portugal. Crossing through the National Park of Sintra-Cascais towards the Atlantic coastline, we will pass by the beautiful Guincho Beach to visit Cascais: a charming town and traditional fishermen’s harbour, and Estoril: bathing and tourist centre with the largest casino in Europe. Transfer back to the hotel at 6pm. Overnight: Lisbon
Day at leisure to explore Lisbon on your own. Optional: Dinner and Fado night show in a traditional Lisbon restaurant. City Tour with 2 hours, Marquês de Pombal, Eduardo VII Park, Av. Da Liberdade, Restauradores, Rossio, Commerce Square, Viewpoints of Graça and Alfama, Monastery of Saint Vincent, National Pantheon, Cross over the bridge 25th of April, Lisbon’s Aqueduct, Praça de Espanha (Square of Spain’s Embassy), Bull fight arena and Avenida da República. Overnight: Lisbon
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
